WhatsApp & email

Follow up with every buyer, on WhatsApp and by email

Choose who gets it, write the first message and the follow-ups, and set the timing. Abanro sends them in order from your WhatsApp Business number and your own mailboxes.

How a follow-up sequence runs

  1. At launch

The first message goes to every buyer in the audience who can be reached.

  2. After the wait you set

The next step goes out, counted from when the previous one was actually sent.

  3. When a buyer replies on WhatsApp

That buyer leaves the sequence. Nobody gets a reminder after they've answered.

  4. Any time

Pause the campaign, edit steps that haven't gone out, or stop it for one buyer.

WhatsApp or email: which to use

Many export buyers in the Middle East, South Asia, Africa and Latin America do business on WhatsApp; many in Europe, North America and Japan expect email. Use the channel each buyer already uses.

Choose buyers the way you already think about them

  • By tag. Everyone tagged SIAL Paris 2026 or Distributor. The audience keeps up as you tag more buyers.
  • By country. Narrow an email campaign to the markets you want.
  • By hand. Search and pick exactly who gets it.
  • Permission respected. Buyers who opted out, or have no number or address on file, are left out, and the review step tells you why.

Questions

How many follow-ups should I send an export buyer?

There's no fixed number, but most buyers who reply do so after the second or third message rather than the first. A first message plus two or three follow-ups spaced several days apart is a reasonable start; stop as soon as they answer or ask you to.

Can one campaign use WhatsApp and email together?

Not in a single campaign. WhatsApp and email are separate campaigns, so you can send a WhatsApp sequence to buyers who use WhatsApp and an email sequence to the rest, using the same tags.

Do sequences stop when a buyer replies?

WhatsApp sequences stop automatically for a buyer who replies. Abanro doesn't read your email, so for email you stop the sequence for that buyer from the campaign results.

Can I pause or change a sequence after it starts?

Yes. You can pause a campaign, edit steps that haven't gone out yet, or stop it for one buyer. Messages already sent don't change.
