Terms of Service

Draft for review, not yet in effect. The version currently in effect is here.

These terms govern your use of Abanro, including Abanro Export and Abanro's social-commerce tools.

Agreement

By using Abanro you agree to operate your business account responsibly, to these terms, and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Abanro for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it. In these terms, "Abanro", "we" and "us" means the company that operates Abanro, and "you" means the business using Abanro and the people it lets into its workspace.

The service

Abanro provides software for businesses. Abanro Export covers buyer and contact records, WhatsApp campaigns and sequences, email sequences sent from your own mailbox, an export catalogue, Product Sheets, export orders and documents, purchasing and stock records. Abanro's social-commerce tools cover Instagram and WhatsApp conversations and checkout. Features can change as we improve the service. Abanro is not a freight forwarder, customs broker, bank or law firm.

Accounts and workspaces

  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity in your account and workspace, including by team members you invite.
  • Give accurate account and business information and keep it up to date.
  • Tell us promptly at support@abanro.com if you think your account has been misused.

Merchant responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you send to customers and buyers and for complying with applicable commerce and messaging rules. That includes the laws and regulations that apply to your products, your markets, your trade documents and your marketing.

You must not use Abanro to:

  • send spam, or contact people who have not agreed to hear from you where consent is required;
  • send unlawful, misleading, threatening or infringing content;
  • offer goods or services that are illegal or prohibited by the platforms you connect;
  • interfere with, probe or overload the service, or try to access other workspaces;
  • resell or provide Abanro to others without our written agreement.

WhatsApp, email and messaging rules

  • When you send WhatsApp messages through Abanro you must follow WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies and Meta's terms. WhatsApp approves templates and can reject, pause or stop templates and numbers. Message fees for the WhatsApp Cloud API are charged by Meta to your WhatsApp Business account.
  • When you send email through a connected Gmail or Google Workspace account you must follow Google's terms and sending limits and the anti-spam laws that apply to you and your recipients.
  • Respect opt-outs. Abanro leaves out buyers whose WhatsApp or email permission is turned off, but you remain responsible for recording and honouring each person's choices.
  • Use sensible sending volumes. New numbers and mailboxes can be restricted by WhatsApp or Google if they send too much too quickly.

Official APIs and third-party services

Abanro connects to Instagram and WhatsApp through official Meta APIs and to Gmail through Google's APIs. You authorize Abanro to act on your connected accounts within the permissions you grant, for example to send the messages and emails you schedule. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, their decisions about your accounts or templates, or their fees.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content and data you put into Abanro, including buyer records, products, photos, documents and messages. You give us permission to host, process, transmit and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service for you. You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you upload and the people you contact.

Product Sheets and public links

Anyone with a Product Sheet's link can open it unless you add a PIN or it has expired or been unpublished. You are responsible for what you publish on a sheet, including prices, terms, certificates and claims about your products. Replacing or unpublishing a link stops it working, but we cannot recall copies a recipient has already downloaded or forwarded.

Export documents

Quotes, invoices, packing lists, purchase orders and other documents are generated from the information you enter. Abanro does not check them against customs, tax, banking or letter-of-credit requirements. You are responsible for the accuracy of your documents and for complying with export, import, sanctions and customs rules.

Export SOS

Export SOS is an assistance and escalation service from the Abanro team for urgent situations on an export deal.

  • Export SOS is not freight forwarding, customs brokerage, legal advice or financial advice. Where those are needed, you should use, and we may work alongside, your own forwarder, broker or adviser.
  • We will tell you what we can and cannot help with before starting. Fees, if any, are quoted and agreed before work starts.
  • We do our best on each case but cannot guarantee any outcome, including customs clearance, release of a shipment, a buyer's payment or the completion of a deal.
  • You remain responsible for decisions you make about your shipments, documents and buyers, including decisions made after our input.

AI features

Where Abanro offers AI-assisted features, their results can be incomplete or wrong. Review AI results before relying on them or sending them to anyone.

Plans, trials and fees

  • Paid plans, their prices and their limits are shown on our pricing page or agreed with you in writing. Fees are billed in advance for each billing period and are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Where we offer a free trial, it lasts for the period stated when you start it. We will not charge you for a trial unless you choose a paid plan.
  • Plan limits (for example, numbers of buyers, products, Product Sheets, connected numbers and mailboxes) apply to your workspace. If you need more, you can move to a larger plan.
  • Third-party fees, such as WhatsApp message fees charged by Meta, are separate and paid to those providers.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you before a change affects you.

Data controls

You may disconnect Instagram, WhatsApp or Gmail, or delete Abanro-stored data, at any time using the in-app controls described in our data deletion instructions. You can also ask us to delete your account.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Abanro at any time. We may suspend or end access to the service if you break these terms, if your use puts other users, the platforms we connect to or Abanro at risk, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and export your data.

Disclaimers

Abanro is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that messages will be delivered or answered, or that using Abanro will result in any sale, order or payment.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Abanro is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, deals or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Abanro for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Abanro after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
