What food importers ask before they ask for a price
A first enquiry from a food buyer is usually a list of questions. Abanro keeps every answer on the product, so you send the same facts to every buyer.
- HS code and origin
- Stored on each product and printed on sheets, quotations and invoices.
- Specifications
- Your own labelled list: grade, count per ounce, moisture, crop year, shelf life, storage.
- Certificates
- Organic, HACCP, Halal, Kosher or any other file, with its expiry date.
- Packing
- Packaging type, units per carton, carton size, net and gross weights.
- MOQ and price
- Minimum order, unit price or "price on request", and the Incoterm and place.
- Container loading
- How many pallets, cartons and kilos you load in a 20 ft or 40 ft, dry or reefer.
A catalogue built for food specs
Add each product once with its photos, HS code, origin, weights, packing, specifications and certificates. Group products into categories such as tree nuts, dried fruit or spices.
Everything you quote and present starts from this record, so a spec changed here is the spec buyers see next.
Present your range to buyers on their phone
Build a Product Sheet for a season or a market (Autumn 2026 nuts and dried fruit, say) and share it by link, QR code on your stand, or PDF.
- Prices for that sheet only, or "price on request".
- A PIN and expiry date for price lists you don't want forwarded.
- View counts so you know which buyers opened it.
After the trade show
Food exporters meet many of their buyers at a few shows a year: Gulfood, SIAL Paris, Anuga, Fancy Food and regional fairs. The weeks after decide how many of those conversations become orders.
- Tag every buyer you met with the show's name: Gulfood 2026, SIAL Paris 2026.
- Send the season's Product Sheet in your first message.
- Run a WhatsApp sequence for buyers in the Gulf and South Asia and an email sequence for Europe and North America.
- Quote from the buyer record when they ask for a price, with the Incoterm and port they asked for.

Questions
Which food products is Abanro Export suited to?
Anything you sell to importers, distributors and wholesale buyers by the carton, bag or container: nuts, dried fruit, dates, spices, coffee, tea, olive oil, grains, seeds and ingredients. It isn't built for fresh-produce traceability or lot tracking.
Can I record specifications like moisture, grade or shelf life?
Yes. Each product has its own list of labelled specifications, such as Grade W320, Moisture max 5% or Shelf life 18 months, which appear on Product Sheets in the order you set.
Can buyers see our certificates?
Yes. Attach certificates to a product with their name and expiry date, and choose whether a Product Sheet shows them. Buyers can open them from the sheet.
Can I show how many cartons fit in a container?
Yes. For each product you can record how you load a 20 ft or 40 ft dry or reefer container: palletized or floor loaded, pallets, units and weights, as you actually ship it.
Does Abanro handle food safety compliance?
No. Abanro stores the certificates and specs you already have and shows them to buyers. Registrations, inspections and import permits stay with you, your certification bodies and your forwarder.
