How your inventory is used

  1. 1Sampling and introductionsPart of your inventory is used for targeted product sampling and introductions to potential buyers.
  2. 2Retail sale and shelf placementAnother part goes to real retail sales: we work with each participating retailer to bring your products onto their shelves.
  3. 3Demand and feedbackYou see real demand, your first retail opportunities and direct market feedback, reported to you every month.

We introduce your products to carefully selected Southern California retailers, coordinate targeted sampling, and actively pursue opportunities to bring your products onto retail shelves.

Regulatory readiness

Included: initial regulatory readiness screening

Before outreach starts, we review your products and labels at a high level and flag what may need specialist attention.

Specialist regulatory services, when needed

Specialist regulatory assessment, laboratory testing, FDA or MoCRA registration or listing, importation, duties and customs clearance are arranged when your products need them and quoted separately from the $3,950 fee.

Assessed and quoted separately after we review:

  • Product categories and ingredients
  • Number of SKUs
  • Product quantities and shipment details
  • Labeling and regulatory requirements
  • Import and receiving arrangements

You see and approve every quote before any work begins.

Requirements depend on how each product is classified. Cosmetics generally do not need FDA approval before they are sold, and registration applies only where MoCRA requires it. Products regulated as drugs, such as sunscreens, follow their own rules. Our screening flags what applies to your products early.

How it works commercially

Where we introduce your products

Up to 25 selected beauty salons, barbershops, beauty supply stores, boutiques and specialty retailers across Southern California, chosen to match your products and target customers.

Sales commission

25% only on sales Abanro generates during the three months, calculated before sales tax. No sales, no commission. Growth, the pay-as-you-go stage after the program, has no Abanro sales commission.

Questions

What does the $3,950 Beauty & Personal Care program include?

Three months of U.S. market entry work: the first SKU and its first pallet, an initial regulatory readiness screening, outlet targeting, up to 25 selected introductions to beauty salons, barbershops, beauty supply stores, boutiques and specialty retailers in Southern California, product sampling, outreach, follow-up, storage of the included pallets, handling, pickup, dashboard access and monthly reporting.

How is inventory used in the program?

Part of your inventory is used for targeted product sampling and introductions to potential buyers. Another part goes to real retail sales and shelf placement with participating retailers. The goal is to build real demand, create your first retail opportunities and gather direct market feedback.

Are FDA or MoCRA registrations included?

The program includes an initial regulatory readiness screening. If your products need specialist assessment, laboratory testing, FDA or MoCRA registration or listing, or import and customs services, we scope and quote them separately after reviewing your product categories and ingredients, SKUs, quantities, labeling and import arrangements. Requirements depend on how each product is classified, and you approve every cost before work begins.

Do cosmetic products need FDA approval before they are sold?

Generally, no. Cosmetics do not need FDA premarket approval, except for color additives, which must be approved for their intended use. Depending on the product and the company, MoCRA may require facility registration and product listing, and products regulated as drugs, such as sunscreens, follow different rules. Our initial screening flags early what may need specialist review. It is a readiness check, not legal advice.

What does an additional SKU or outlet group cost?

Each additional SKU is $1,900 and includes the first pallet for that SKU. Another group of up to 25 outlets is $1,000. Additional pallets, and every pallet after the three months, are $49 per pallet per month.

How does the 25% commission work?

It applies only to sales Abanro generates during the three months, calculated before sales tax. If no sale is generated, no commission is charged, and sales you make yourself carry no commission.

What if my products don't sell during the program?

You pay no commission, because commission applies only to sales Abanro generates. The program fee covers the three months of targeting, sampling, outreach, logistics and reporting, and your inventory remains yours.

How do you win shelf placement?

We select outlets that match your products and customers, coordinate sampling, present your brand to each buyer and follow up on every opportunity. Each retailer makes its own stocking decision, and your monthly reports and dashboard show exactly where every conversation stands.

Who handles importation and customs?

We handle U.S. customs clearance as part of your shipment. Importation, duties and customs clearance are quoted separately from the program fee after we review your products and shipment, and you approve them before anything proceeds. For initial shipments, the brand, its designated U.S. importer or, in eligible cases, Abanro acts as Importer of Record.
