Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach

Your destination partner at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach

Much of your U.S. West Coast cargo comes through the San Pedro Bay. Our warehouse is in Southern California, close to both ports, and our team works there every day.

You keep your customer relationship. We handle the agreed U.S. operations.

Why the port end needs a local team

The Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach sit side by side in the San Pedro Bay and handle a large share of U.S. container imports from Asia. Costs add up fast there. Free time at the terminal is limited, and after it runs out, demurrage and detention charges start for every extra day.

From Southern California, we follow your containers at the terminal, book the pickup, and agree with you whether to deliver direct, transload or cross-dock, or bring the goods into our warehouse. For freight that stays, see our Los Angeles 3PL and Long Beach 3PL services.

Common problems we prevent

Free time running out

A hold or a late pickup turns into daily charges. We watch availability and the last free day and act early.

Chassis and appointments

Pickups depend on terminal appointments and chassis. We arrange both.

Inland destinations

Moving a full container inland is not always the cheapest option. Transloading near the ports often is, and we compare both with you.

How your container moves

  1. Track

We follow the vessel, discharge and container availability.

  2. Clear and release

We clear customs and confirm the carrier release.

  3. Pick up

Pickup from the terminal, with the empty container returned on time.

  4. Deliver or transload

Direct delivery, transloading or receiving into our warehouse.

Questions

Do you handle both the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach?

Yes. Both ports share the San Pedro Bay, and we handle containers from terminals at either port, plus air cargo from LAX.

What is the difference between demurrage and detention?

Demurrage is charged while a container stays at the terminal after free time. Detention is charged while the container is out of the terminal and not yet returned. Our guide explains both.

Can you transload containers for inland delivery?

Yes. We unload ocean containers in Southern California and reload the freight for domestic delivery, which is often cheaper than moving the full container inland. See our transloading guide.

Can you deliver containers fully customs-cleared?

Yes. We handle U.S. customs clearance and can deliver your customers' goods fully customs-cleared.

Can freight stay near the ports?

Yes. We store goods in Southern California and release them in parts as your customer needs them.
